Resting Museum is an artist duo of Priyanka D’Souza (she/her) and Shrey Pathak (they/he), who use rest, queerness and disability as methodology in their art practice and curatorial projects to intervene in art and design history discourse and archives.
They are interested in the aesthetics of the incomplete and the performativity of the missing body in disability theory and how they can be used in institutional and infrastructural critique. They look at experiences of isolation of disabled body-minds and the formation of certain ‘publics’ physically and virtually through practices of sitting, resting, and participating together. They travel and think through, with, and around crip and queer time.
They have organized a seminar at the 6th Kochi-Muziris Biennale titled, (Towards) Crip Aesthetics: Disability as Method (2025). Their work has been shown at Serendipity Arts Festival, Goa (2024 and 2025), CREA reConference, Kathmandu (2025), Museum of Art and Photography, Bangalore (2026), a solo, 'Aubade with ______' at Shrine Empire, Delhi, and more.
